Demetrius Richards(5-3) vs. Jeb Chiles (8-2)

The fighters are making their way to the cage to open tonight’s action.

Round 1

Chiles comes out working the low kicks. Richards takes Chiles to the mat. Richards stuck in half-guard. Chiles works to closed guard. Richards passes to side control. Richards jumps to mount, however, very little in the way of strikes. Chiles is doing a good job of tying Richards up. Chiles regains guard, and is looking to trap an arm from the bottom. Chiles is trying to work a Kimura from the bottom, but doesn’t have position. Richards land a few strikes in guard to close the round.

Round 1 to Richards 10-9

Round 2

Richards comes out looking to strike. Chiles clinches and gets taken down to half guard for his efforts.  Richards moves to side control and is landing shots.  Repeated shots are landing to the face of Chiles.  Chiles struggles to regain guard, but is doing little to stop Richards strikes. Chiles gets ahold of an arm in full guard, working for a Kimura. He has it! Richards taps @3:51 of Rd. 2

John Ott(7-6) vs. Brian Imes(5-4)

Round 1

Ott comes out looking for the takedown, and he gets it, with a nice slam into guard. Ott hops to side control, straight into mount, but Imes slips out the back, regaining guard. Imes is doing a good job using his length to keep Ott tied up.  Imes is working a body triangle from the bottom to keep Ott from doing much damage. Ott finally shakes the guard and moves to side control. Imes again works out the back and they are standing.  Ott is working the overhands, and Imes is working knees from the clinch. They remain standing as Rd. 1 comes to an end.

Round 1 to Ott 10-9

Round 2

Both fighters come out for Round 2 looking to end the fight with 1 shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily, and the action is slowing down. Ott lands a big overhand and moves in for the takedown, passing to side control. Not much action on the ground, as both fighters are looking to get some air. Imes regains guard, and again locks on the body triangle from the bottom. Ott continues to control the action on the ground as the round comes to an end.

Round 2 to Ott 10-9

Round 3

Round 3 opens with both fighters again swinging for the fences. Ott goes for the takedown, but is stuck underneatch receiving shots to the ribs for his efforts.  Ott finishes the takedown into Imes guard again. Imes is again working the body triangle from the bottom, nullifying Ott’s attack. Ott has Imes left arm trapped behind his back, but is able to do very little in the way of mounting any offense. With 2 minutes to go, the fight is brought back to the feet.  Imes is bleeding heavily out of his left ear, the result of an Ott overhand right. Ott again gets the takedown, and continues to control the action to the final bell.

All three judges score the fight 30-27 for the winner by Unanimous Decision, John Ott.

Tyler Stinson(18-6) vs. Steve Carl(12-2)

Round 1

Stinson comes out looking to cut off the cage and gets taken down. Stinson immediately throws up a high guard, controlling the arms looking for an armbar. Stinson throws on a tight triangle and is slammed, but retains the triangle. Carl works his way out, and after a scramble, they stand and Carl locks on a Guillotine, jumping to guard looking for the finish. He gets it. Stinson is out @ 2:30 of Round 1.

Aisling Daly(9-0) vs. Lisa Ward(13-5)

Round 1

Both fighters come out looking to mix it up. They clinch, and Ward throws Daly to the mat, trying to work some offense from the top. Ward is working from half guard, looking to isolate Daly’s left arm. Ward lands a couple of huge right hands to the ribs of Daly. Ward is pouring it on with 2 minutes left in the round, landing some viscious ground and pound. Ward is again working a Guillotine from the top. She gives it up and goes back to pounding Daly’s ribs from half guard. Ward continues to control the action as the round comes to an end.

Round 1 to Ward 10-9

Round 2

Ward comes out and again throws Daly with a headlock, straight to side control. Daly works her way free, and the fighters stand and clinch. Another headlock from Ward brings the action back to the mat. After briefly moving to mount, Ward tries to lock a guillotine, and is reversed by Daly. Daly trying to work some strikes from Ward’s half guard, but not much is landing. After a scramble, Daly lands on top in North-South, and Ward locks on a head scissor. Ward is working for a reverse triangle, but Daly pops her head out, and moved to side control. A nice scramble ends the round.

A close round to Ward, 10-9

Round 3

Both fighters come out throwing, with a few landing for each fighter. Again, Ward throws Daly in a headlock, landing a half guard. Again, Ward looks to punish the ribs of Daly. Ward works her way around to the back of Daly, and is working for the choke. Daly turns into guard and is met with a few punches for her efforts. Ward again works her way to Daly’s back and locks on the body triangle. Daly is fighting the hands well, but is unable to improve her position.

Jose Vega(8-3) vs. Danny Tims(9-2)

The crowd is electric for this KC vs KC matchup! Tims is coming to the cage in a luchador mask.

Round 1

Tims comes out throwing bombs and catches Vega. Jose keeps his wits and takes top control. Tims has full guard, but Vega postures up and drops a couple shot to Tims chin. Tims tries to lock in an armbar, but Vega shakes his way out, moving to North-South, trying for a choke. Vega moves to side control, but Tims reverses position. They scramble and are back to their feet. Vega lands a nice shot that drops Tims, but he recovers quickly. Vega gets a takedown into Tims half guard. Tims reverses at the end of a great round of action.

Vega takes Round 1, 10-9.

Round 2

Both fighters come out throwing again, with little landing. Vega is starting to land kicks to Tims leg. He also lands one low, which pauses the action. The action restarts, and Tims is backing Vega up with hard glancing shots. Vega is again going to the kicks. He catches Tims on a takedown attempt and they briefly go to the mat. Back standing, Vega lands a brutal body shot that drops Tims. They come back to their feet. The action moves back to the mat, with Vega on top in North-South position. Vega has trapped Tims left arm and is looking for the crucifix. The round comes to an end with Vega in side control.

Round 2 to Vega, 10-9

Round 3

Again, both fighters come out looking to trade. Vega looks to be the fresher of the two. a grazing low blow lands, but the referee immediately restarts the action. Tims works for the takedown, but is stuffed, and they come back to their feet. Vega continues to work the low kicks, and is starting to control the standup. Tims starts to land some shot, and Vega takes the fight back to the mat. Tims is trying to work a Kimura from guard, to no avail. Vega continues to control from the top as this one comes to an end. A great fight put on for the KC crowd.

Round 3 to Vega, 10-9.

Mike Hayes(12-3-1) vs. Alexey Oleinik(27-5-1)

Round 1

The fighters touch, and this one is underway. Oleinik goes for the takedown and end up with Hayes in his guard. Alexey has thrown up a high guard, looking to isolate Hayes right arm. Hayes backs out, and they are standing. Oleinik goes for another takedown, but hayes fights it off. Oleinik is finding a home for his overhand right, but ends up on his back again.  Hayes throws some hammerfists from the top, doing little damage.  Oleinik continues to isolate hayes right arm, and narrowly misses an armbar attempt, allowing Hayes to briefly take his back. They come back to their feet to end the round.

A narrow round to Mike Hayes, 10-9.

Round 2

Round 2 starts with Hayes getting another takedown, and Oleinik continuing to employ the high guard. Oleinik has done a great job thus far avoiding any damage from the bottom. Alexey has a loose triangle, and is trying to transition to an armbar, but Hayes spins out of it. Very few effective strikes being landed by either fighter. Hayes now in side control, but the fight is stood up by the referee. Hayes shrugs off another takedown attempt as the round comes to an end.

Round 2 to Hayes, 10-9.

Round 3

Round 3 has Oleinik coming out looking for the knockout. Alexey gets the takedown and has opened Hayes up. It’s bad. But they are going to restart it back on the bat with Alexey on top. Oleinik is looking to posture up and do more damage to Hayes’ eye. Hayes is defending well with 3 minutes to go. Hayes guard is wide open, and he kicks out to get back to his feet. Alexey shoots back in for the takedown, and again ends up on his back for his efforts. Both fighter are covered in blood, as Oleinik continues to work for a submission from the bottom. Hayes is able to briefly pass to side control before they stand and trade to end the fight.

Round 3 to Oleinik, 10-9.

Kevin Croom(3-2) vs. Brian Davidson(5-2)

Round 1

Both fighters come out looking to find their distance. Davidson grazes Croon with a left high kick. Davidson showing good head movement, and is controlling the center of the cage. Croon goes for the takedown, but ends up pulling guard. Croon working rubber guard, landing some good shots from the bottom. Davidson can’t do much from the top, so he backs up and they stand. Croon is starting to land some shots, and uses them to set up a takedown. Neither fighter landing signifigant blows on the ground as the round comes to an end.

Round 1 to Croon, 10-9.

Round 2

Davidson starts the 2nd with a solid head kick, but Croon walks right through it. Croon beginning to land the inside low kick. Davidson hurts Croon with a kick, but is unable to capitalize. Croon attepts a takedown, but Davidson shrugs it off. Croon chases Davidson across the rind and drops him with a hard shot. Davidson gives up his back, and Croon slaps on a quick rear naked choke. Davidson does not waste any time tapping.

Zak Cummings(10-2) vs . Rudy Bears(11-5)

Round 1

Bears comes out and lands a nice right. Cummings lunges in and misses. He lunges in again, and finishes with a takedown. Cummings moves around to the front and sinks a deep anaconda choke. Bears taps. A nice, quick choke for Cummings.
