ReplayMMA conducted an interview with Shane Carwin Tuesday.

ReplayMMA: How has your training changes since the Brock Lesnar fight and what have you done to counter the exhaustion you faced in the first round?

I have been rehabbing from my neck surgery.  I have modified my diet and will be using Coach Chamberg exclusively moving forward.

ReplayMMA: Who do you want to fight next?

Nothing is planned.

ReplayMMA:   What’s your reaction to the KO of Brock Lesnar by Cain Velasquez and would you like a rematch in the future with Brock?

My focus is not on being undefeated.  I am focusing on winning the Heavyweight Title.  I want to fight whoever is between me and that opportunity.

ReplayMMA:  What do you think about these new “boxer-wrestlers” like GSP, Frankie Edgar, Dominik Cruz becoming the new blueprint and evolution in MMA? Some fans say that guys like GSP are taking away from the sport winning decisions, but also showing the importance of wrestling. Do you think wrestling is the most important skill-set in this sport?

Not sure what a boxer wrestler is.  But the sport is evolving away from trying to determine which sport is the best for combat and moving towards true Mixed Martial Arts.  A great wrestling pedigree is not enough anymore.  If I was a kid and wanted to set my sights on MMA as a sport I would do Wrestling, Judo, Boxing and BJJ as a base.

ReplayMMA:  Shane, there’s been some speculation regarding your twitter account, the UFC has blocked it, what can you tell us about it and what is your relationship with the UFC like currently?

Not sure what your talking about here.  If you are referring to my joking with the UFC about being un-followed or something along those lines, it was a joke.  They accidently un-followed me by accident and I made a joke about it.

I have a great relationship with the UFC.  I think they like me too.

ReplayMMA:   You’ve had some hard luck, a serious back injury that forced you to withdraw from a bout with Roy Nelson, how has your recovery been?

I have been dealing with this injury for a few years.  In the past I had been able to treat it with traction and nerve blockers but this time I wasn’t able to get the pain to go away.  Then the numbness set in and never went away.

Post surgery I have been feeling better than ever before.  I really should have had the surgery a long time ago.

I am excited to be getting back into action and excited to see how my repaired body responds to training.

ReplayMMA:   On twitter, you mentioned, “What’s Scott Coker’s number? Would you ever consider fighting for the Strikeforce Promotion?

I think my contract with the UFC will likely take me to the end of my fighting career.   I have not even considered fighting anywhere else.  In the end I leave those decisions to my manager and my job is to focus on training and fans and he handles everything else.

I am happy with how I am treated by the UFC.
