Heavyweight bout: Brazil Antonio Silva vs United States Mike Kyle

Rd 1 – Both fighters enter the cage and the size difference is not quite as obvious as I had expected. 10 seconds in and Bigfoot is dropped hard by a big right hand. Kyle chases him to the mat and starts working some awesome ground and pound. Silva may actually be part sasquatch because most humans would have been knocked cold by this point. Bigfoot is able to recover and takes very few strikes for the rest of the round, besides a couple quick headbutts to the body that Kyle is scolded for.

Rd 2 – Bigfoot starts the round looking much better. He lands a really hard right hand that shakes up Kyle a little. Bigfoot  throws a legkick and then shoots for the takedown and is successful. Bigfoot starts landing his own ground and pound and goes for an anaconda choke. Kyle escapes, but ends up with Bigfoot mounted on top of him. Wow, Bigfoot applies the rape choke technique made famous by Wanderlei against Jardine and starts dropping rights on Kyle’s head that would kill a buffalo. there is nothing Kyle can do and the fight is finished at 2:49 of the second round.

Silva goes to check on Kyle after the fight and shows some of the great sportsmanship this sport is known for.

Daley throws a left right combo that drops Smith. daley follows him to the ground and lands a couple punches, but Smith is able to get back to his feet.  Daley lands a left hook and Smith faceplants like a TON of bricks. There have been a lot of face first KOs in MMA. This might be the most devastating one I have ever seen. Smith’s face hitting the mat was almost as loud as the fireworks they set off before the fights. Wow.

After the fight, Daley calls out Noons. That will be an epic fight. Some of the best hooks in MMA going at it.

Paul Daley wins via “Sorry, Robbie mine was better” KO

Lindland is out cold. Lawler shows how good of a sport he is by stopping immediately after the first shot.  The first one was plenty.

Lawler wins via brutal, highlight reel KO.

Light Heavyweight bout: United States Dan Henderson vs. Brazil Renato Sobral

Rd 1 – After about 30 seconds of feeling each other out, Babalu throws a head kick that Hendo blocks.  Now Dan unleashes a right and a left and Babalu is down. Now he is working the ground and pound and just about every shot is making its way through. Babalu cant take much more of this. Bablu is out, the fight is over. Very impressive fight for Hendo.
